Shin, The Lord's Presence With And In Us

It is interesting that the Jews have a letter in their alphabet - 20th letter out of 22 - and it is pronounced as 'Shin'. This letter appears as the first alphabet in the name of God in 'Shaddai' and El Shaddai is the name given to ascribe God as God the Almighty in the Old Testament and it gives the picture of God the nourishment for us.

It is also interesting that this same alphabet appears right in the midst of the name of Jerusalem or Yerushalayim and it should come as no surprise to us that God told King Solomon that He had chosen Jerusalem that He may put His Name there (2Chronicles 6:6).

Take a close look at the relief map of Jerusalem and see the alphabet edged out by the three valleys - Hinnom Valley on the left, the Tyropoeon or Central Valley in the middle and the Kidron Valley on the right and they all converge at the bottom to form the letter 'Shin'.

It should also interest us to note that the same letter appears right in the midst of the name given to our Lord Jesus - 'Yeshua' and a closer look at a pictorial of our human heart, one can understand why the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:17 that Christ dwells in our hearts through faith.

No wonder the Lord told the prophet Ezekiel that He will give us a new heart and put a new spirit within us; He will take the heart of stone out of our flesh and give us a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26) and again in 2Corinthians 6:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, "And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.'"

Now that is awesome. This is our blessing in Christ. Amen

A New Believer's Prayer

Thank you Father for loving us so much that You sent Your precious Son Jesus Christ to this world to die for all our sins. I receive Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior.
Thank you that all my sins have been nailed to the Cross on Jesus at His death and because He died in our place, I am now saved forever. I have been made righteous in Your sight because of what Jesus did and I can now enjoy Your blessings over my life. Thank you for the privilege of being called Your Child and for the Gift of Your Holy Spirit in my life. AMEN
