Ever heard of the phrase - 'like father like son'? Well, I have even better news to declare to all - we have not only been created after the Father's image in that we have all been created with a spirit just like God has the Holy Spirit, but we actually start to look LIKE the Father and so when people compliment us that we look more glorious with each passing day, take it as a compliment - "Like Father, like son".
The Apostle Paul commented in Ephesians 2:10, 'For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.' What is this workmanship that Paul was referring to? is it the workmanship of creation? or was he talking about something else. I believe Paul was referring to the status that Believers will find themselves in the moment they choose to put their faith in Christ. We are not perfect (humanly speaking) but we are in the process of being made perfect and this will climax when we either get raptured at the trumpet call of the archangel when Christ comes back for us or when we fall asleep and get to meet Christ in the heavens.
The process of being made perfect started the day we received Christ into our lives and the Holy Spirit comes to reside in our midst in our spirit and each day He will reveal to us what plans the Father has for us and teach us how to walk in His ways by faith. And with each step of faith we draw closer to Christ and when that happens, we will take on His likeness more and more. Ever taken out those old photographs of yourself and compare them against what you see in the mirror? do not be surprised that you are beginning to look younger and more beautiful with each passing day! Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ who not only gave us eternal life through His redemptive blood but has qualified us with glorious looks.
My prayer for you - "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3John2 (NIV)"
The Lord's Theme For The Year
The Lord has crowned the year (2011) with His goodness and caused us to walk in His paths that drips with His fatness (Psalm 65:11)

A New Believer's Prayer
Thank you Father for loving us so much that You sent Your precious Son Jesus Christ to this world to die for all our sins. I receive Jesus into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Thank you that all my sins have been nailed to the Cross on Jesus at His death and because He died in our place, I am now saved forever. I have been made righteous in Your sight because of what Jesus did and I can now enjoy Your blessings over my life. Thank you for the privilege of being called Your Child and for the Gift of Your Holy Spirit in my life. AMEN
